The Sheraton is noted for it's amazing world class conference facilities which made for an efficient and well run event. </span> </h3> </div> <div> <img src="https://irp.cdn-website.com/18030057/dms3rep/multi/0V7A2445.jpg"/> </div> <div data-rss-type="text"> <p> <span> The three days were split into presentations, networking lunches and some down time elements (yoga, business breakfasts) which meant a decent pace and time balance. </span> </p> <p> <span> <br/> </span> </p> <p> <span> From an event photographer's perspective, the easy pace allowed time to move between rooms, and the presentations were long enough to capture a balance of speaker photos, crowd shots and photos of the venue. </span> </p> <p> <span> <br/> </span> </p> <p> <span> My main task as a Gold Coast event photographer is to ensure I am where the action is when the actions is happening! So a good, thorough timeline is essential. Happily I had this, which ensured I didn't miss a single shot </span> </p> <p> <span> <br/> </span> </p> <p> <span> The first two evenings had a Gala Dinner. The Monday was at SeaWorld - an amazing venue that never disappoints. We were lucky enough to be given a personal presentation by the dolphins, and an amazing Indian buffet. The second night was a more formal sit down dinner with a fun, interactive Bollywood dance session. </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> Ariarne Titmus was the keynote speaker on Day 1 and channel 7 TV presenter Ben Davis did an amazing job as MC and compere for the three days. </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> With the Tech Mahindra conference being a 3-day event, day 2 and 3 were at a reduced 20% rate. Which is precisely why I adore what I do! I am never in the same place twice which keeps life interesting and makes work amazing! </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> I also get to meet some incredible people and I have to say the folks at Unilever are a breed apart! Every single person at the Unilever Awards Event that I photographed at the amazing Noosa Waterfront Restaurant and Bar was so welcoming and fun! It must be a fabulous place to work too! </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> The day started with some headshots. I have a portable studio with lighting and backdrop so headshots are an easy addition to any event photography job. Then we headed to Noosa Waterfront for the main event. It was a very relaxed evening with some networking, drinking, hand shaking, incredible food and awards. There was a photo wall, which was well used, and I always get some candid, photoournalistic photos of people socialising. </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> <span> All of my event photography packages are fully inclusive, meaning there are no nasty surprises or unwelcome add ons. Being witness to such an amazing event, a once in a lifetime event, is something I will never take for granted. Which is why when Vidur called and asked me to capture his proposal at the beautiful Kooroomba Lavender Fields and Vineyard I jumped at the chance! <br/> </span> </p> <p> <span> <br/> </span> <strong> Its All In the Planning </strong> <span> <br/> Vidur and I had several pre-proposal chats about how the proposal was going to go. We picked out the spot, checked the lighting, and I got there super early just in case our spot was taken,. It was! Vidur and Bronte were having lunch, so we sent secret texts; Vidur asking if the coast was clear, me telling him to hold off! To eradicate any suspicion, I took photos of bees, hundreds of photos of bees! So when the couple came out into the lavender field, I was ready and poised! And then Vidur stalled! Tears! Nerves! But then he got on one knee and asked. And happily Bronte said yes! </span> </p> <p> <span> <br/> </span> <strong> She Said Yes! </strong> </p> <p> <span> After plenty of hugs and tears, I introduced myself and we went around the lavender fields capturing some amazing romantic engagement photos. I had the best (and happiest!) models to work with so the session was easy.
